In the 1990's, I trained under Fred Nielsen — now CEO of Control Laser — in Orlando, Florida, absorbing the craft that would define an industry. AutoCAD I-II certified through Clackamas Community College, I turned theory into precision. For 12 years, I ran ESP's marking department—the most profitable division in the company year after year. There, I pioneered an industry-first process to laser-mark PFA340 Teflon — a material that everyone swore was impossible to mark. Wacker Siltronic wrote me a letter of commendation for not only developing the process, but delivering 20,000 pieces on-time for a very important project.

I’ve commanded micron-level tolerances at MLT, etched legends at L&S and perfected blades for the biggest names in Oregon manufacturing. I owned every step along the way: customer consultations, sales, quoting, programming, marking, inspection and delivery.
